India Has a New Demand Trend for Yoga Products

Amazon says yoga products in the Indian market are showing a huge demand and soon will lead a new fashion trend.

Demand for yoga in India has surged, with the sales growing by more than 225%. Cities like Bombay, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad account for 40% of the demand for yoga products. The rest 60% come from other first-tier cities, second-tier cities and third-tier cities. Among them, consumers have the greatest demand for yoga mats, accounting for nearly 80 percent of sales.

Amazon said sales of sportswear in the amazon clothing category rose nearly 150 percent in 2016, with more than 40 percent of orders coming from big cities, while orders from second and third-tier cities accounted for about 30 percent.
