According to eMarketer, U.S. retail sales will increase by four percentage points compared to 2016 during the back-to-school shopping season in July and August in 2017.

While the U.S. retail sector has a good record for the back-to-school shopping season in 2016, it will be better in 2017. Retail sales in the U.S. are expected to hit $8571.8 billion in the first two months, accounting for 17.0% of retail sales for the full year.
