Disadvantages of Rotary Shavers

– Not very subtle, can cause irritation if you have sensitive skin. Note the preferred shaving technique for rotary shaver is a light circular motion, so if you are getting irritation with your rotary shaver then reduce the pressure you are applying i.e. let the shaver do more of the work.

– Not recommended for men that want to do the precise shaving.  For example, if you have sideburns, a mustache or a goatee.

Factors to consider when buying an electric shaver

Motor speed
Look for a motor speed of 10,000 or faster (meaning the blades move back and forth 10,000 times per minute).
Faster blades mean a closer shave and less irritation. Slower models cost less but take longer to use and do not do as good a job.

Size
Smaller electric razors are better for getting those tricky areas around your face, while larger shavers can shave more hair with each stroke.

Power source
Electric shavers can be plug-in, rechargeable or battery powered.
Rechargeable and battery powered are ideal if you travel frequently, while plug-in shavers work if there’s a convenient power receptacle.

Comfort factor
